I have owned a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0 Ghz, before the graphics card is dead. I use two Cinema HD Display and AGP cards are hard to find that the old model. I'm not a super user, so I rarely encode video heavy. I am a light user of Aperture and Photoshop. Trying to shed some light photo editing and video on my G5 was not painfully slow, but the computer was showing its age. Typical tasks took a bit ', I would go away, and sometimes returned an hour later. G5 was high and hot. ATI X800 XT was a noisy and a video card buggy. When I opened my new Mac Pro, I was wondering if I bought last year's quad dual-processor (2.8 GHz), instead of new single Nehalem processor (2.6 GHz). The prices are fairly close. 2009 model has more RAM and a hard disk larger. Rest assured this new machine is no slouch. I do not know how many professional Mac users can use Mac Pro, and many come with the MacBook Pro, but I believe that if the high-end professionals can use a laptop with you
