I'm about to replace the hard drive of my iMac seconds. In the first, the power shorted out and melted the screen. E 'was 18 months, so Apple said it would not change or replace it. This was purchased 375 days ago - 10 days warranty - and the hard drive just died. Once again, Apple says it does not cover anything. I get to buy a new hard drive. I have owned dozens of PCs for myself and my company, and have never had problems with hardware such as these.
The wonderful Mac software is good unless you know a lot of computers and are willing to let Apple decide how to use a computer. If you used the computer and do not need Uncle Mac decide what to do and how to do, have a PC. I find them more easily PCs easier to verify because the software that you can do whatever you want.
Overall, the Mac looks good in my living room, a lot, but required a repair lot more and create more frustration, then a simple PC.
