I bought the Asus Eee PC as an experiment to replace my bulky media center PC (aka Home Theater PC or HTPC) and I am extremely pleased so far. The device is small (1:10 to tracks that) my HTPC, quiet, very accommodating, and makes an interesting (though small), in addition to my entertainment center.

I had this computer about a month. Replaced my HP desktop. I used a PC for about 20 years. Because I put all that frustration? This is a wonderful computer that is fast, intuitive, powerful, fun and very easy to use. It took about five minutes, including my router settings. The Internet connection was immediately recognized and working in seconds. WOW. Applications load quickly and are mutually compatible, so there is a seamless integration between all applications. If you need an image or text to switch from one application to another - no problem, for the most part just drag and drop. I use Photoshop Elements 6.0, and it works amazingly well. App loads very fast, the handling of photo work as it should and makes use of digital effects and the correction is so fast it is unbelievable. Note, I have about a dozen titles and Microsoft have worked with Microsoft for years. I depend on Microsoft for my life, so do not get me wrong … I know that Microsoft products pretty well. I work daily with them, and their location and capacity are excellent products.
